1st pick gets a superstar and a good player
middle pick gets a superstar and a great player
last pick gets 2 great players

Middle pick is worse because it's impossible to get an idea of who might still be left in the next round. Last few picks means first few picks in the next round (thus making it easier to plan your next pick). Dunno, I'd much rather be at the end than in the middle.
