In retrospect, I would put Moses over AI at the 4 position. AI led the Sixers to a Conference Championship, but that's it. Moses was dominant, and was the final piece to a very good Sixer team that became a great team in 1982-83.

AI is arguably the second greatest SIXER of all-time. Take into consideration what cultural and basketball impact he had to this city. He's not just one of the greatest SIXER, he's one of the greatest athletes. You cannot have a top 4 without him.

Not a Sixers fan, but that 82-83 Sixers team was among the all-time great teams. They totally dominated the league that season, and the Lakers had no answer for them in the Finals once Moses joined the team. He was the missing piece to that puzzle.

The Sixers are kind of a tough team to figure out a Mt. Rushmore for because their best players weren't lifers, and most had significant careers (and success) elsewhere as well as with the Sixers.

I have no dog in the fight, but would include:

    Wilt Chamberlain
    Dr. J
    Moses Malone
    Alan Iverson
