Default No big Celtics move expected, says Danny Ainge

“Realistically, I don’t see major changes coming,” said Ainge, well aware that market factors and the Rubik’s Cube difficulties of finding a transaction that meets the needs of two teams at the same time conspire against blockbuster trades.

“Of course we’re trying to get better, and any deal that was available that could help us, you obviously do that. But we’re not just trying to make any deal. We’re not selling the team off or anything like that. We’re trying to win with what we have right now. That’s got to be our first objective.”

So while Rivers can seek to get his players’ attention by hitting them upside the head in the media — “At the end of the day, either we’ve got to do that (play correctly), or we’ve got to make changes” — it’s more likely the alterations would have to come from within rather than a cavalry of one or more riding over the hill to the rescue.

I expect a small-ish move for a big.

Could be.

It feels wrong to consider the team ever trading the remaining stars and blowing this all up

I dont even know what "blow it up" means. Make trades for the sake of making trades?

I wonder how Rondo's being out changes things? Ride it out and hope Bradley and Terry pick up their production or make a move and possibly trade your franchise player or defensive stopper?
