I don't see how you know people were going to game plan around Oden when he hasn't played a game yet.
Frye is already established in the NBA as a shot blocker and inside scorer with a little midrange jumper. Frye is pretty much a poor mans LaMarcus Aldridge
Frye and Oden do the same thing as well but Channing Frye can somewhat stretch the defense while Oden stays in the blocks. Just because Frye is skinny as hell and Oden is a little thick doesn't make them different
Both block shots with ease
Either one starting probably would've averaged 12-15 PPG & 8-11 RPG
The only thing IMO that Oden is better at is Big Name Hype and passing out of the double team.
Neither are/were going to have the year it would've taken to turn around Portland into that big team THIS year
Thats on Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge...both are expected to big time scorers and defensive stoppers.
