Default Should the Nets go for KG this summer?

granted he's 30, but he's still a big man who can produce.

butto get him, no doubt Krstic + RJ or Carter will need to be involved including picks.

I dont think we have enough depth to cover that problem

If the Nets go after KG, they will have a window of 3 years to win a NBA Championship. After that they would be completely screwed as Kidd would be past his prime as well as KG.

So basically it comes down to, do you want to win a championship now and sacrafice the future, or not win a championship but have a better chance in the future.

i'd be really, really loath to give up jefferson and kristic. they should have a good future together. i'm not sure. kidd, garnett and jefferson would be nice, but like this year, we'd be left with something of a big 3 and maybe not much else. and kidd aging.

i've been sort of hoping they could use carter in the offseason to get some post help that wouldn't be quite at a garnett level, but something like chandler/west from the hornets would help us a lot, i think.

You want to get rid of VC and get David West or Tyson Chandler in return? Obviously other players would have to be thrown in in order for this to work but besides all that, the Nets would probably be the lowest scoring team in the league. They would not have a proven go to man. VC is worth more than that. We better get a proven bonafide scorer in return for VC.

I think Kristic and RJ for Garnett would make a good deal. I don't know if the wolves would go for it. We've never had an athletic center before. I think KG would make a great addition for the team.
How about Jermaine O'Neal? With the way Indiania is going, maybe they will want to let him go? I think he could fit into our offense very well. I'm tired of having "soft" centers. We need a KG or Jermaine O'neal

both will play the PF position so Collins can return to the center position.

thing with KG is he is efficient. JONeal will require the offense to go through him.
