Default Should the Wizards try 2 resign Gilbert or let him opt out?

Gil's gonna want more money after this season, should the wizards give it 2 him? or not?

Yes they should. They shouldn't build around him imho but you need to keep an asset like that, at least until you find a good trade, or s+t him of course. Funny as it seems, I feel they need (among other things) a big 2 guard like larry hughes who can run but be a decent defender, either on the oppositions scorer or a top pg if needed. not sure nick young is that guy. anyway, re-sign gil and for gods sake trade Jamison before its too late.

Keep him. He's the poster-boy for the Washington franchise, and if he leaves, they'll just be another Crap team trying to draft a franchise guy for 2-3 years.

he is getting hurt alot now. maybe then should try to trade him when he gets healthy for a decent player or two. thats if they want immediate impact, because thats surely what the fans want

well if they let him "opt out" they stand to save a lot of money but might not be a playoff team, then again they been doing pretty good for themself without him this season, so its a tight spot. maybe work a sign and trade? you hate to just lose a talent such as Arenas for nothing in return. so you gotta play it smart, if a deal can be reached i would keep him. i mean he is the Wizards star, like that guy above me said he is the face of the team. i'd be more ampt to let Jamison take a walk, even Butler but not Arenas, if he bounces you gotta get something outta him!
