Well ESPN seems to disagree. Why can't be be the 9th or 10th best player? Because he's a rookie and too young? When ranking active players... legacy or time in the league doesn't mean sh** man. Ask NBA defenses if they think Blake is a top 10 player... because they defend him like a league MVP.

Fair enough. You're allowed to have an opinion . I just feel like with Griffin people are so skeptical and don't give reasons for their opinions. Like nobody has explained in detail or given a good reason why he's not top 10 worthy besides that the Clippers didn't make the playoffs.

I know what you mean. I get the feeling that people are adamant to put Griffin high in their top 10s because they think that he's all dunks and they just assume people love him so much because of it. So it's actually possible that all those highlights could make others think that's all he is when ranking him. The truth is Blake could be top 5 next season if he can help the Clips get some wins.

Yea I understand some of the skepticism. Reality is Griffin could be the best player in the game and it won't mean a damn thing if he isn't leading the team into the playoffs. Rose and Durant proved their worth by leading their teams deep into the playoffs this last season. It's Blake's turn to prove what he's all about. May take 1 more season but I hope it's this season.

. Barkley and Malone were gifted athletically too and they didn't block shots at a high volume yet are considered the 2nd and 3rd best PF's ever. They didn't have short arms/wingspan like Griffin. Just because the guy doesn't block shots doesn't mean he can't be elite.
