Patience is the key for BC
It would be very easy to swing a deal for Bargs that would improve our team at the moment but BC is smarter than that.
1. Bargs' actual value is higher than his current perceived value.
2. JO is a better C at the moment, but he is clearly on the decline and Bargs is making improvements.
3. JO has a HUGE expiring contract that will be very valuable this time next year.
I personally believe that Bargs' value is about the same as what JO's will be this time next year. Would you rather suffer through the year and have Bargs long term or pull the trigger now for the short return.
Don't worry about Bosh. We still have lots of time to turn it around. Players usually have short memories. As long as we can have a good run next season bosh will be happy.
The plan is be patient. Try to add a piece before the trade deadline trading Ap and maybe JK. Then in the off season add another piece via free agency. Next year make a big splash when a team wants to blow it up. Then we can resign bosh and pull in another solid piece in that off season.
Building Championship contenders takes time. We've had some setbacks but it's not all bad.
