Default Could Ben Wallace return to Pistons?

and would you guys want him back?

Could Ben Wallace return to Pistons after buyout by Suns?

For the vet minimum, which doesn't count against the cap, I say lets bring him home!

Defintely, some harsh feelings for leaving the team but if he wants to come back and retire here, I think all would be forgiven. So can we get a redo on that Afflalo trade since we found our big man? ... Please?

I think there are better players available but I would take him just for his defense. I'd rather have him than Kwame..... I just don't know if he's going to play one more season or not.

yes, absolutely yes. and i would pay him anything up to kwame brown's salary, which i think is way too high for his level of play. ben can meet and exceed kwame's level of play due to actually having the hands of a man to go along with the body.

doesn't matter if he airmails FTs either

Is he still effective as a defender ?

If not look elsewhere for a bigman, if he comes back he will be a liability on offense and basically reduce the team to a 4 man attack, but if he comes back at a reduced price go for it, but I still say go after another big, maybe Chris Wilcox, at least he could provide some offense.

In a perfect world getting both Wilcox and Wallace on the cheap would make the Pistons a tougher team up front !!!!

With Chicago rumored to get Boozer we really need to get better on the front line too. Noah and Boozer is a pretty tough front court.

If Ben takes the vet minimum, we will still have the 3.x million to spend. The vet minimum doesn't count against the cap…

We can get Ben and another player

I wouldn't mind going after Wilcox. I say we go after the person with the most upside. Ben and Wilcox could make us a little tougher.

I saw that to and thought he would be a nice backup SG. Although, we have an offensive minded one right now. The backup should be someone with lockdown D.

Stack was great for us back in the olden days... but we got no room for him now. I'd rather have kept Afflalo

Me too. He was a defensive minded guy.

It actually does appear they are interested in Wilcox. Like I've said elsewhere, if he can produce like he did in Seattle he could be a steal.

It's believed that the Pistons, as of Thursday, have Rasho Nesterovic and Chris Wilcox ahead of Drew Gooden as their next free-agent targets, since it appears that they can't assemble an offer sheet rich enough for Glen Davis to keep the Boston Celtics from matching. ESPN.com

I like it. It's the first thing this off season that I've liked. I know Joe D is all about going after people who are under rated. This was the one who has the most potential of the bunch.
