Default Heat release guard Shaun Livingston

Quote:
Livingston was informed of his release after Monday night's 91-84 loss to the San Antonio Spurs at AmericanAirlines Arena, with the team expected to make a formal announcement later this morning.

The contract Livingston signed with the Heat guaranteed only $370,000 for this season, a figure that keeps the team below the punitive dollar-for-dollar luxury tax on excessive payrolls.

I wonder who they will sign with the vacated roster spot? Does this mean Riley has a 2 for 1 trade in the works? Feel free to discuss...

If they knew Zo was going to return they would be waiving Magloire also since his contract isn't guaranteed until tommorrow either.

This report is saying that the Heat traded Shaun Livingston to the Grizzlies and then the Grizzlies cut him. What kind of **** is that?

Yeah Shawn was used as a pawn to save the Heat money and for Memphis to make money. Too bad, but I know he's a hard worker, and we will see him again in the NBA, even if it isn't with the Heat.

Should take some time to eat a couple hamburgers and bulk up. He's 6 inches taler than me and only 10 pounds heavier.

But we need Magloir now. Livingston on the other hand we don't. I wanted to keep him, but i guess the coaching staff saw something we didn't.
