It's being held more strongly against him because of the mere hype the man has behind him. Seeing as UFC is the bigger promotion, naturally Brock would get more of the exposure. Combine that with the fact that he's a controversial figure, and yeah, you're going to find some resentment for the man.

Fedor on the other hand has had a long and marvelous career, and any MMA expert will tell you that Fedor beats Fabricio Werdum 9 times out of 10. He didn't get owned either like Brock did.

Cain has potential to be the greatest UFC heavyweight of all time, but thats because Fedor is not there, Fedor would pretty much submit him.

I'm sure some places will still have Lesnar top 5 like Sherdog. Probably Fedor 3 and Lesnar 5.

correct me if im wrong, though that was the first time in the ufc that cain was on his back in a fight. it happened twice i believe. he had the heaviest, most dominant wrestler on him in the ufc, and he stood up both time with ease.

the man is incredibly skilled to have been able to get out of something like that with relative ease.

Yep, Cain's one of the quickest and most athletic heavyweights in the UFC. Not taking anything away from Brock, he's quick as hell for his size too. Brock's defense is just horrible, and when you combine with that with a quick fighter like Cain, it's a recipe for disaster.

i always thought cain was a perfectly built machine when it came to fighting, much like fedor. they arent muscle bound freaks thus they dont require incredible oxygen levels pumping through their body like fedor or carwin. they've got that low centre of gravity along with great endurance which gives them incredible strength over the course of a match.

cain really is a well rounded fighter. a great wrestler, a very good jui jitsu fighter, and the one weakness he had coming into the ufc has become another of his biggest strengths which is striking.

I'ma be honest....

I don't remember hearing about Cain before the Brock fight. I didn't think he'd win against Brock either. After the fight I went on a mission to watch all of his fights.

I did notice that he can get hit, and he will go down. He's can also be prone to getting submitted.

Having said that....

His stand up game has improved
Even when he's been rocked, he kept coming at the opponent as if he wasn't
He's very elusive, and I can see him improving on his submissions just as fast as he's improved on his standup game

I think he's gonna be very scary for his next match. I noticed him making huge strides and improve from match to match. I don't see why he won't continue to do so. Once he becomes better at submissions, I can see him beating any and all challengers.

His standup game is vastly improved
We already know about his wrestling
Stamina, speed, flexibility, determination, smart

The dude really does look like a 155 pounder out there

What's even scarier is that he still doesn't think he's good enough.

Fedor would abuse Lesnar. Lesnar is just super fast and super strong. But he lacks the skill.

i think fedor would drop brock in one strike. u see how weak sauce his chin is he gets hit with one good shot, then he drops into the fetal position.

He's not that long removed from Kongo lighting him up on the feet and he's showed nothing submission-wise, he still has a lot of room for improvement and a lot to prove.

There's a good chance JDS knocks him out.

If cain can gets past JDS theres really no one else that can beat him in the UFC,unless fedor comes to the UFC.

Agreed to an extent. I still have faith in Mir should he make it back up the ladder again, however I think this is JDS's fight to lose.
