Default What Should the Lakers do to make Kobe and Phil Happy

Since both Kobe and Phil think that the Lakers should do something to improve their team, what should they do? They've added a few players, but Kobe and Phil don't think that's enough. What trades should they make to make the Lakers better? What players are available and what teams are willing to make a trade?

It's over dude. Phil and Kobe are most likely gone unless the Lakers suddenly turn into something that they're not and that's a talented team.
In order for that to happen, Bynum would need to become the player that the org. thinks he is, Odom would need to be more consistent, defense would need to improve and everything should be sunshine and loliposp.
But in all likelihood, it ain't gonna happen and Phil and Kobe are as good as gone.

The Lakers had a chance to make it happen but they wasted both Kobe and Phil.
Too bad.

expand the trade to get Jermaine Oneal

Lakers should Indy what they want - Bynum AND Odom - but Indy should include another good player. Lakers should also be willing to accept one of Indy's bad contacts.

Bynum\Odom\VRad\pick
for
JO\Granger\Tinsley

something like that.

They should get whatever available super star or allstar caliber player they can.

It will likely have to wait until the season begins or even Christmas time because nobody is really available. They need to admit they goofed with Boozer, Kidd, and the others.

the Lakers should trade away Bynum....stop thinking about the future and start thinking about the present because Kobe is going to leave...i know most Lakers fans are going to dis-agree with this trade, but you have to look at the present and leave the future for now:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...1~11&te=&cash=

That would leave this lineup for both teams:

Lakers:
Farmar
Kobe
Dunleavy
JO
Mihm

Indy:
Tinsely
Daniels
Granger
Odom
Bynum

They should pay them 100 times more than most humans on earth will ever see just to play a damn game, or in Phil's case WATCH from a courtside seat. That would get anyone to quit complaining.

Oh wait...

I like this trade better than giving up Odom and Bynum for JO.

Lakers trade: Kwame, Bynum, Radmonovic, Crittenton
Kings trade: Artest, Miller

That leaves the Lakers with Fisher/Kobe/Artest/Odom/Miller in the starting lineup which is a pretty big improvement over last year.

A variation would be to do Bynum and Vlad Rad straight up for Artest, and then shop Kwame and Crittenton (plus picks?) for another center. Perhaps when the Clippers are in last place heading into the new year, they'll be willing to move Kaman for a big expirer and young talent.

Seriously if indy goes through any trade with the lakers that does not concern kobe but involves O'neal.....

The more feasible trade would be to get artest and miller do you a basis for that? but i dont think Sac town will allow that unless you put odom into the picture.
