Default No.2 Pick of the Draft

Durant is coming...

We got a future All-Star in our hands, its gonna be pretty good for us now...

I would've never dreamed of getting a pick this high.

Durant or Oden?

Either one will do.

But I am partial to Durant.

PS: Rashard who?

Just an outsider looking in but I think Oden may be better suited for Seattle (not that you have a choice in the matter).

Resign Lewis
Pickup Webber as a FA

PG: Watson/Ridnour
SG: Allen/Wilkins
SF: Lewis/Wilkins
PF: Wilcox/Webber
C: Oden/Collison

as opposed to:

PG: Watson/Ridnour
SG: Allen/Wilkins
SF: Lewis/Durant
PF: Wilcox/Webber
C: Collison/Petro

Lewis opted to test the market. There is a chance he won't be coming back. I am putting all of my hopes for this. I prefer a safe pick which at this point is Durant at #2.

Rashard who?

Well yesterday Wilkens said he'd "love" to get Lewis back still...And he said the lottery has made no impact on if Lewis will return or not, and he said he wants a "Prime Lewis" to play for Seattle

Lewis also said he likes Durant a lot. Lewis is from Texas and has watched Durant all year and said he would take "Durant over Oden as no.1 pick for the Sonics".

So those 2 things indicate that Lewis actually will be back...And remember, Lewis wants 2 things, he has always said he wanted to stay in Seattle and Contend for championship, the 2nd part wasn't working out, with Durant coming though, it will work out...

Durant/Lewis/Ray

Thats a TALENTED team...

Aren't Rashard and Durant in the same mold?

Meaning small fowards who prefer to shoot?

Who will play power foward?

Getting either of those two will increase our chances to stay in Seattle because with either Oden or Durant, we will have a new franchise player that is very marketable.

This means $$$...

just got back into town...

YEAAAA!!!! we got the #2 pick. not since we drafted gp have i been this pumped up over a draft pick

my guess: we will probably sign and trade rashard. for whom, i am open to suggestion

as to increasing our chances to stay in seattle, i am not sure about...

the issue is with people who are NOT fans of hoops-- we could have picked up durant AND oden and when you told them, they would look at you and asked, "who?"

the arena issues remain whoever the sonics get.

durant would come one year too late. if we picked him up and had a playoff run and then asked for a new arena deal, then we would have been negotiating from a more powerful position

as it is now, we are still very vulnerable to being moved because the arena issue is far from settled and bennett isnt going to wait around for us to get our $hit together
