Worst Basketball Scenes in Movie/TV History
Inspired by the American History X thread, I was wondering if you guys could provide links (with titles) showcasing the worst use of basketball in movie and television history. Obviously short rims, quick camera cuts to the ball swishing through the hoop from the opposite angle from which it was shot, unathletic actors being passed as superstars, anything goes.

The Love B-Low
Re: Worst Basketball Scenes in Movie/TV History
i'll find some specific examples when i get off of work but I just hate how on EVERY tv show/movie, the home team is always down by 1 point and win at the buzzer. It's never an 8 point game, never a blowout, never the home team winning and just holding the ball til time expires, never free throws. It's alllllways a game winner

This is similar to my problem with sports movies in general. Its always (and I mean always) and underdog story (individual or team).
Just once I'd like to see a movie about an average team of average players having an average season, where nothing outlandish happens, and at the end of the season, everyone goes home.
Or the team of misfits getting their asses handed to them by the super team, like they would in real life.

Above the Rim. The main character (Leon) made about 15 jump shots in the final game. However the editor used 1 or 2 jumpers and re-shot them from different angles.
Love and Basketball - During a college basketball practice, Sanaa Lathan gets a breakaway steal but for whatever reason instead of taking it in for the easy layup, she decides to pull up for a 3 POINTER! Nobody does that!

It's not that uncommon for players to take fast break 3s, but usually the 3 pointer isn't taken by the one initiating the fast break.
They should have had her do some sick iso move, but then let the other team score a fast break bucket because she didn't get back onto D due to her celebratory gestures.

Re: Worst Basketball Scenes in Movie/TV History
there was this one bollywood flick where a basketball game was played and I was crying my eyes out during the entire scene, because they were butchering the beautiful game that I know and love. It was blatant goaltending, double dribbling, and nobody knew how to dribble with the god damn basketball down the court. the movie's name escapes me but I'll try to remember and find a link for it...
I also remember it was a E.t. ripoff movie and the alien guy everybody powers to fly in the air, dragon ball Z style and just throw the ball into the basket. Yes this had to be the worst movie I have ever watched...
