The no handchecking era. Gotta love it.

Cmon man thats a poor argument here. Lebron cant be stopped with a handcheck.. he would plow over MJ one on one, abuse him for position down low and lay it in.. he's got 25+lbs over the average SF guarding him and is faster than all of them.

Bron is just picking and choosing his spots perfectly now... numbers will drop a bunch in playoffs when defenses force him out of his comfort zone and he needs to score more.

    Moron.

It is easier to put up high % numbers in the West:

Generally slower pace and better defence in the East.

I never said that handchecking would 'stop' LeBron. Without it, picking his spots or not, he looks too comfortable out there. It's ridiculous.

...and what will ESPN tell people? LeBron put on a clinic with his 'post game', the Mavs played bad defense, hell maybe someone on the internet will compare LeBron’s 'post game' to MJ's (perish the thought). “Who’s more unstoppable in the post?”

Either way you look at it, these perimeter players today are producing these memories and moments under little if any physical resistance. I get the same feeling and thoughts when I see Kobe, and even my boy CP3. I have this thought all the time, with everyone. It sucks so bad because I really don’t think we can truly compare today’s perimeter players to past perimeter players unless they blow past perimeter players’ production clean out of the water. Tonight’s few plays where the Mavs looked afraid to put real contact on LeBron was another reminder that there is no real defense being played today.

Miami has the best offensive efficiency in the NBA by some distance right now; they lost because for defensive reasons, not because of Lebron not shooting more. Their offense thrives because of ball movement, good spacing and unselfish play - that would be harmed by Lebron hijacking the offense. In fact, the times Miami have looked the least good offensively has been when Lebron has resorting to Kobe-like hero ball, pounding the ball up top and taking bad shots.

Good point, you're right. As the saying goes, "offense wins championships."
