I'm not nominating it over Monroe's stat line.

That dude, in my opinion, is clearly the nation's best freshman, and Rivals should've stuck with him as their No. 1.

If I was an NBA GM, in fact, he'd be No. 1 on my draft board right now. I think his potential and skill set are both through the roof. I love everything he does on the floor, and I think he has the potential to be a better version of Derrick Coleman.

However...I have to throw this one out there for four reasons:

    1. He's from my high school.

    2. I hit a monster home run off him in Little League (granted, he was 10 and I was 12).

    3. I love kicking the sh*t out of Indiana, even when they're historically bad.

    4. Only two people in Illinois history have hit more threes in a game. One of them is Dee Brown, who should need no introduction to any college basketball fan in the last five years. The other is, well, Trent Meacham, who nearly tied his own record today and is the Big Ten's top three-point shooter:

    21 points, 7-10 FG, 7-9 3pt, 3 Rb, 2 Ast, 0 TO, 2 Stl

Does Meacham or McCamey run the pg? Either way the 0 turnovers are just as impressive as the 7 threes.

By the way, how about that dunk last night from Jonny Flynn? (not to mention his 15/9/7 with 0 turnovers in 40 mins)

I'll make the pick in the morning after I get to see the late game boxscores, mainly USC/UCLA. But right now DeJuan Blair (23/15/6) and Jeff Teague(29 on 9/16 shooting vs. UNC, still in progress) are up there.

    Jan 11th Winner

    Jeff Teague, Wake Forest

    34 Points
    6 rebounds
    4 assists
    1 steal
    9-17 shooting
    3-4 on threes

in a 92-89 victory over UNC.

I guess I just like watching good guards lighting up UNC.

Chester Frazier runs the point, mostly. Leads the Big Ten with 6.2 assists per game. McCamey splits time between running point and playing off the ball, kind of like Dee Brown did with Deron at the point.

Meacham always plays off the ball but does average close to 3 assists a game.

Was it McCamey that lit up IU from deep in that double overtime game last season?

Yeah, he lit up both Indiana and Purdue last year. Had 31 points and 7 threes against Indiana, then had 26 points and was 6-6 from three against Purdue in the Big Ten tournament.

McCamey heats up extremely quick. He's streaky, but he'll put 10, 12, 13 points on your ass in a few minutes. He's already had about four or five games this year in which he scored 10+ points before the second TV timeout.

    Terrence Williams, Louisville

    43 minutes
    24 points
    16 rebounds
    8 assists
    3 steals
    10-20 shooting
    3-7 from deep

in an 87-73 OT win over Notre Dame.

Kind of the Andre Iguodala of the NCAA. 6'6", athletic high-flyer, good rebounder and passer, poor shooter.

But damn what a night. Showed what he's capable of. That double-pump layup he had in OT was nice.

(btw...that Earl Clark poster dunk on Harongody was sick)

    Is there any question?

    54 points
    8 rebounds
    4 assists
    1 steal
    15-22 fg
    10-15 3fg
    14-14 FT
    1 turnover

Holy **** this kid caught fire Broke the Kentucky record for points and threes in a game.

Jodie Meeks was unbeleivable tonight. I watched the whole game and it was amazing. He could of scored about 70 if he wanted but he passed up some shooting opportunities

Lock this thread up until February. (Obviously, I could do so myself right now, but Posterize could unlock it just as quickly, so I'm just throwing a drunken suggestion out there.)

Not only did he put up the biggest scoring night from a guy from a BCS school that I can remember since Eddie House about nine years ago, not only was it extremely efficient and accurate, scoring 54 on only 22 field goals....but he contributed big-time in other areas, with 8 boards, 4 assists, and only 1 TO on top of it.

Seriously, we should retire the thread until next month.

I don't know what else to say.
