Good college starter
Re: CP3 MVP Watch Thread
great game by Paul tonight. he has certainly moved up in the MVP consideration, but still not on par with LeBron and Durant.

Point guards don't get MVP's...unless you're a major underdog or you're name is Magic.

Re: CP3 MVP Watch Thread
It's readily apparent how vital Chris Paul is to this team's success. Without him on the floor in close situations, they implode. 0-10 run to lose the game.

And didn't they just have three straight blowout wins over the Grizzlies,Rockets, and...I forget the third team, but I know they won three straight games without Paul.
Look, no one is or should doubt Chris Paul's importance to the team. It's obvious Eric Bledsoe is more SG than PG. But they're still a very deep that has shown they can win and win convincingly without Paul. They've also they can lose to bad or so-so teams (save OKC) without Paul.
As important as he is to the Clippers, though, I don't know how you can look at the seasons Durant and LeBron are having, and say Chris Paul is more MVP worthy than either of them right now. And that's not a knock on CP3, either. LeBron is in his prime and arguably at his peak (or very close at the very least); and Durant is just beginning of what could end up being a top 15 peak all-time. And obviously it goes beyond their stats, because they have an advantage in most of the advanced stats, too (On/Off differential, WS/48, ORtg, DRtg, etc.), albeit a slim one. It's not that Chris Paul isn't having an MVP caliber season, it's just that both Durant and LeBron are having even more ridiculous MVP caliber seasons.

He wouldn't win the MVP even if he averaged that this season. 13 games missed. No chance.
