lol his team was the same as mine except with Pippen instead of Bird and I can see the case for either as it was the toughest choice I had to make.
On one had Pippen/Jordan are proven to be a perfect duo, on the other hand Bird was basically the biggest threat to Jordan throughout his early career, so putting them both on the same team is insane and provides them with two unstoppable perimeter threats and two of the clutchest players of all time.
Also someone needs to make a game like this accounting for a bench because then you could take Bird and just stagger his minutes so that he is like dominating with the 2nd unit

Michael and Scottie are good enough shooters to cover that well enough. (Magic too, he wasn't a complete marksman from 3 but I don't doubt he can make some when it's needed).

Re: You have $15 to make the GOAT Starting 5.
I am assuming we can pick from one position multiple times so
5$-Jordan
5$-Lebron
1$-Pippen
1$-Garnett
1$-Hakeem
I think this is bay far the best defensive team and all of lebron jordan and pippen above average 3-pointshooters but both hakeem and garnett are fantastic shooters for bigmen

Oscar
Jerry
Larry
Hakeem
Wilt
Game over.
Best combination of shooting and passing. Only way interior defense could get any better is if you replace Olajuwon with Russell. No single player needs to dominate the ball. Could go with Stockton in place of Oscar and be almost as effective.

Re: You have $15 to make the GOAT Starting 5.
PG - James ($5)
SG - Jordan ($5)
SF - Durant ($2)
PF - Garnett ($1)
C - Shaq ($2)
In a team like this you'll still only end up with 2 go to scorers and everyone else has to be able to play off the ball. So it's important to identify your go to players and then build around them.
Jordan and Shaq will be your primary scoring duo. This will be facilitated by Lebron and spacing provided by Garnett and Durant, both excellent spot-up shooters from the mid-range to the perimeter respectively.
Defensively, the inside is locked down with Shaq and KG, a versatile duo and the perimeter being patrolled by James, Jordan and Durant, again a very versatile trio.
Don't see a weakness at all.

Bird would be a beast defensively on that team. Any time another player slowed down his man Bird would pounce. Bird and Hakeem would both be double-teaming nightmares. The others are good passers, but Bird was absolutely elite. And he spaces the floor.

Cause when you have Hakeem, Duncan, Jordan, and Stockton; you're covered on defense. Bird stretches the floor and can score from anywhere, is a phenomenal passer, a better rebounder, is one of the greatest leaders in league history, and is cold blooded in the clutch.
Bird was always a good team defender anyway.
