oh really? well I might have heard it wrong or something but I do know there was a disagreement between the two near the end of the year... and he got next to no minutes in the playoffs after being such an amazing story during the regular season...

Karl ofcourse has always had a problem with young players and benched JR for a bad game and some bad shots in one of the games. He's since said that he handled it wrong and realizes JR is young. But still thinks JR should be more professional and respect the game more.

Default Re: J.R. Smith

Karl shold respect the game more and actually have some semblance of a directive for his team other than "play the right way"

JR Smith has far more shooting range than Ricky.

Ricky Davis Lite.

The man can find a nice niche in that offense surrounded by AI and Melo.

not comparing strengths and weakness, comparing attitude and talent. Ricky D has skills/talent but never got it together off the court, which is what I see happening to J.R.

The few times I've seen JR play he's always one or two stupid decisions on offense, but given his age and skillset I'd keep him on my team for sure.
He'll be good for around 14-15 ppg next year with Melo and AI around.
