Toney was one of our best players last night. That doesn't say much because everyone was playing like trash
He hit a few important threes.
Also his defense on Calderon was very good, especially in the 2nd half.
You saw what happened when Bibby was on the floor.
We can basically blame Mike Bibby for that loss.
Just when he came in (2nd quarter) the Raptors made a 8-0 run.
When he came in (4th quarter) the Raptors made a 5-0 run in 30 seconds.
So it's 13 point advantage for the Raptors in maybe 5 minutes Bibby played, and he played more than that.
We lost the game by 5 points and 13 points can be blamed solely on Bibby.
CUT THIS GUY
We brought him to shoot threes and he can't hit any.
And also cut Jeremy Lin. Both of them are trash.
Sign some D-Leaguer who wants to get paid and will put some effort.
He can't be any worse than Bibby and Lin. First one is a huge liability on defense and can't hit a shit and second one can't even dribble the ball without tripping and falling on the ground.
I can't blame Toney for being put in a spot he doesn't belong in.
This is what I'm saying. I can't blame ANY of the guys. I can't be mad at guys for being who they are. When Melo and Stat and Tyson underachieve, I get mad. No longer will I rip guys for being the mediocre talent they are. This team is a direct reflection of it's coach and GM (interim). None of these guys have done anything out of character. Toney Douglas has never shown the ability to play pg at a high level and our season thus far illustrated just that.
if you won't blame anyone, I'll do it for you franchize.
I blame Bibby for not retiring. Without the ability to shoot from deep, I'd consider playing Lin over him.
I blame Walker for being too timid to take threes. He can't create off the dribble, yet he passed up good shooting opportunities despite being one of our best shooters.
I blame Harrelson for tantalizing us with his play against the Kings. he shed his true colours in a home game nonetheless. How many bricks where you can't even draw iron before someone has the mental fortitude to stop camping at the damn three point line. He could have spot up from 15 feet out or even cut to the basket. instead he settled for hitting the backboard and shotclock
I blame Fields for his shooting this year. He was lethal behind the arc as a rookie, and supposedly he worked on his shot over the offseason, but clearly his rookie campaign was an anomaly. he is playing like a bench guy. not even a shooting guard, he's a small forward
I blame Melo for not looking for Douglas in the fourth quarter. Dougla was super hot from deep buy I felt Melo was in chuck mode, granted he nailed a number of big shots in a row at the end. smh at the final play

Hilarious...especially about Harrellson's shots not drawing iron
Bibby- If you could get a mill to pass the ball around and do nothing, wouldn't you? Especially getting to play in MSG
Walker- Never really was a good 3 point shooter. He's more of a slasher and Mike's never utilized his strengths properly. He's like a poor man's IllWill
Harrellson- I agree about the SAC game. He had a good game and ppl thought they could expect that.LMAO They conventiently forgot he shot an airball in the Lakers game that didnt even reach the charging arc. Then he hit the side of the backboard against TOR. When he misses,he misses BAD. But I can't be mad. He never was all that good in college. We clearly drafted him off of his name he made in the tournament. If you watched the entire Kentucky season however, he stunk it up.
Fields- I think Fields has been playing well as of late. He's more aggressive. He's making plays offensively and defensively. Would I like to replace him in the starting lineup and have him off the bench...YES. But I think that's not a priority. He's cool for the time being.
Melo- C'mon man. The dude put up 35 in a game where, if he doesn't go on a run, we're going to get blown out. He kept us in the game. Toney Douglas had the hot hand late but it took him 8-19 to get there. As for the last play, if you looked closely, whatever play Mike drew up, Toney didnt execute it. Melo, Mike and a number of guys were asking him "what happened" after the play. He clearly screwed something up. Thats why it took forever to inbounds the ball.
Walker- Never really was a good 3 point shooter. He's more of a slasher and Mike's never utilized his strengths properly. He's like a poor man's IllWill
.
Did anyone see when Walker drove to the basket instead of taking a wide open three ?
D'Antoni was pissed
This guy is a str8 scrub. I'm sorry but I dont even want him as my 6th man. For the record,I'd take Nate Robinson over him in a heartbeat... And I can't stand Nate. Bottom line is, both guys hoist up shots but Nate is the better scorer. This dude is a bum! No more sugar coating it. He is an 8th man at best.
Funny Story. I have an asian friend from HS that parties a lot. Somehow he runs into Lin in the city all the time. This time, he ran into Toney Douglas at a lounge. He took a pic and posted it on facebook. Toney was sitting down with a small group of people. He says to Toney "What's up Toney, yall gotta get it together so yall can beat the Heat's ass." The girl he's with yells out "Man please, you know he don't get in the game." Damn shame when even your own groupies who you're about to pick up the tab for don't even take you serious lmaooooo

My friend promotes a few parties that Toney Douglas went to. He said he was really cool and friendly, and enjoyed all the Knick fans that knew who he was and socialized with them.
On a side note, last night at Ciprianni Dolci, down on West Broadway, I met Jeremy Lin, Landry Fields, Jared Jeffries, and Josh Harrellson, who were all partying and doing some karaoke. It was pretty crowded, and they had their group of girls with them, so I didn't really want to intrude, but as they were leaving I gave a few of them a pound, and told Jorts to talk shit to Lebron. He said "sure no problem" lol.
