Lakers not making the playoffs by far.

Heat losing in Finals would not be shocking at all, two of the best teams in the NBA are there... anything can happen... its not like Miami is as dominant as 60s Celtics or something

Lakers not making the playoffs.

Question for Kobe fans: If they do miss the playoffs, how do you feel it will effect Kobe's legacy? Even if LeBron wins more rings, it's hard to forget that 2011 choke job. It would be hard to forget this season's failure when you bring up Kobe in the future (if they miss the playoffs).

Anyways, what's your thought on it?

I think the Spurs would have beaten them last year (by passing them to death like Dallas) and they could do it this year. I´d also think Memphis´s twin towers and defensive duo of Prince/Allen would give them hell as well as the homecourt advantage, depth, passing and overall athletism of the Nuggets. The Thunder and Clippers seem to be the best WC match-ups for the Heat.
Dallas only beat the heat because Lebron under performed. simple as that.

As far as the spurs go i'd give them a decent shot but their biggest advantage over miami (depth) won't matter in the post season. Lebron + Dwade will be playing like 45 minutes a game if need be.

Lakers not making playoffs would be a much bigger shock. That would mean someone has assassinated David Stern.

Before the season started, if you said you didn't think Miami will win back2back chips, that wouldn't be that odd of an opinion.

After LAL acquired Nash and Howard, if you said they won't make the playoffs, people would say you're being an utterly ridiculous troll.
