Worst is a bit of a stretch, IMO. He's one of the least dominant winners of the last 25 years or so, though.

It's not the worst MVP season of all-time.

And when all is said and done I think Rose will eclipse Nash and McAdoo as a better all-time player.

To me Steve Nash remains easily the worst player (peak wise) to ever win the MVP. His team never had a chance of winning the title with him as their best player. That's the only MVP I can say that about with conviction.

Rose wouldn't have won the MVP is he wasn't on the team with the best record. Maybe if SAS got it, he still would have... but he's a superstar and he's on a 60 win team. That didn't happen much this year. Even the HEAT didn't win 60.

The NBA has a lot of parity this year and you can't tell me Rose didn't deserve the MVP. There's no one else that was better and I watched Rose win some big games for them.

NOw that they lost game one people are gonna come out and say shit like Rose was overrated... typical.

21 game improvement coinciding with Derrick Rose improving in like literally every department (scoring, leadership, defense, play making, etc). well deserved IMO. When defending other PG's in 'isolation plays', basically one-on-one, he allowed just 0.61 Points Per Possession which is pretty good, and he has become a pretty clutch player this season on offense. Give him the MVP.

Sounds more like "most improved" there, but I'm not denying he was the only logical choice for MVP. The better players either have better teammates (which for some reason counts against them) or are on far inferior teams which decreases their stock (again also unfair, give Howard Thibs, Deng, Boozer, Bogans and Watson and he's MVP probably). Kobe was getting MVP calls in 06 and his team barely made the playoffs, but for some reason this has changed.
