How do you guys feel about trade vetoes in a league...is it fair? or not? teams tend to not make any deals fall through coz it makes the competition stronger, i say it takes away the essence of fantasty bball,....whats your take gurus?
Scenario 1: (Gay/Pietrus for Mike Miller/Rip Hamilton)
who has the better of the deal??? coz mofos on our league vetoed that trade like a m*thaf***er.... im on a 20 team league 9 stat roto (fg%, ft%, 3pm, pnts, reb, asst, stl, blks, to)

Veto leagues are a total joke. Unless there is CHEATING then ALL deals should go through.
The fact this deal got vetoed shows why veto's are ridiculous. No way this should have been vetoed.
I like the Rudy Gay/Pietrus side better ..just cause Rudy is the best player,and since Pietrus is starting ,there's potential there.(especially in a 20 team league)
But there's also value in Miller/Rip, adds depth. Not really sure why this got vetoed!?
Rudy is worth more then Miller and Rip , and Miller and Rip are worth more then Pietrus..seems fair to me.
Find a new league next year, I'm not a fan of manager votes for veto, some people just do it for the sakes of ruining other teams so they can't improve.

You might want to post a message on the league page asking each owner to speak to why they voted to veto this deal, and wondering if each owner knows what vetos are for and what collusion is.
Again, vetos should only be used when collusion is clearly going on. Collusion means that one team stands to gain, while one team has nothing to gain or clearly loses in every statistic.
In this case, one owner got the best player, while one owner added two good players for depth. You could make a case for each side getting the better half, especially in a 20 team league. I'd be curious to see what side owners thought was completely unfair.

Gay is supposed to be a superstar this year, top 20 player easily... Miller/Hamilton are on their way down in their careers. Pietrus is a non-factor. I would take Gay alone over the other two together any day right now. I dont think its a luducrous trade, but the guy who is giving away Gay has to be desperate for depth with subpar guards to fill holes if he is doing this.
Not sure its worth a veto but I see why someone would veto it.... I think vetos are good only for real money leagues.. otherwise who cares anyways. This is why I dont play with total strangers.
thank you everyone for your inputs. i myself think the veto thing is a joke because in this trade it clearly got vetoed because both of our teams are getting stronger and the others are left in the dust lol

...so it is obvious that i am desperate for assist. Thats why i was desperate for the trade. We all know that miller/rip have pretty good assists numbers for their positions, but anyways, i now have a new deal in place (Hawes for Ridnour) and if this gets vetoed, im deleting my team just to ruin the league and as a form of boycot. Once again thanks guys
not veto worthy. Indeed, the Gay/Pietrus side is better but what if the owner wants to build on fg % and ft%? Really depends on the needs so it shouldn't be vetoed
