you guys are all just being reactive fans. omeka is easily worth 12-14 mil. this isn't his fault. its jordans fault and everybody else in that orginization.

a mediocre center usually gets 6-10 mil. an up and coming #2 draft pick center should at least get 12. and yes he is a center not a PF.

According to the Charlotte Observer the Cats GM is not looking to S and T Okafor and they have offered Emeka closer to 10mil for next season. Aside from whether or not Okafor re-signs with the Cats the team has bigger problems. If we couldn't make the playoffs last season with the more season-ed (pun intended) players that we had, then how the heck will we fare with Hollins, again, and three rookies. Can a consistently productive Sean May (and also Ammo) make up for the fact that half our team lacks the ability to match the strong players on the other teams? Am I jumping the gun to be depressed about our upcoming season while it's still only July?

For me yes. I thought what we missed was depth. I like 4 starters, we have players like Dudley, Carroll and Nazr I think are very good back-ups but we had massive holes with very little else last year. If those 2 players mentioned can play as good BACK-UPS and Augustin comes in and does likewise, we'll have a 10 man rotation of quality players rather than 7 which is a big difference.

Big if they both do sure, but if may can I think that's more important as Ammo is more a luxury at our position of strength and for me is the one peice we should look to move while he has any value for a half decent big man vet or gamble on a youngster blocked of minutes on another squad. A north east team like Portland might well offer a chance to do that for Frye or Przybilla, else I'd love to try and get David Lee we were linked with from NY somehow.

Their offer is 2 million less per. After Bogut got his 5/60 it should be understandable that Mek's agent is using the Observer to voice frustration.

So far as another 4 how about Nenad Kristic? I think a 3 year full MLE deal will get him without the Nets matching. We can have the docs check him out thoroughly and if he passes muster we won't have to give anyone up for him. He's a 4 that can shoot...something I think we'd have a use for.

If it's a full MLE maybe we can make a move like that after?
