Default KG a Knick in the Summer?

If The T-Wolves don't make the playoffs this season this deal might go down.

"An unsubstantiated internet rumor about Kevin Garnett and the Knicks highlights a package of Channing Frye, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford and a 2008 first-round pick. However, a league official said the Knicks have been quiet on the trade front recently." New York Post

Do anyone like this deal?

Thomas is in a tough spot because he can't add significant payroll and won't trade his young guys, unless it's for a superstar.

Kevin Garnett qualifies. An unsubstantiated internet rumor about Garnett and the Knicks highlights a package of Channing Frye, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford and a 2008 first-round pick. However, a league official said the Knicks have been quiet on the trade front recently. . . . Jared Jeffries was booed in his Washington return each time he touched the ball. But he found his jumper, making three perimeter shots, finishing 3 of 5 for 6 points.

I do not like this deal and I doubt that it happens. For us to give up KG, the Knicks better come up with a sweeter deal than what you are stating. Frye,Robinson,Crawford, and a 2008 1st round pick. The only way this deal gets done, is for there to be at least another team tossed into this mix. IF I was the GM of the Wolves, I would tell the Knicks to try a little bit harder.

What about a trade with the Lakers?

Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, and a first round pick this year?

how about 3 first round picks instead of 1? Either that, or Bynum and one first rounder.

I hear ya! but if you look at the rumours about what NY is offering,
or may have offered, Frye, Robinson, Crawford, and a 2008 first
rounder, Lakers might have to add something to Kwame and Lamar.

I still think KG is a top five, maybe three, player in the game. He
would provide the low post threat the Lakers need and provide a
high percentage guy for shots with the shot clock running out.
He is incredible on D! He love the high post, which is part of the
triangle......I still think it's ships if they do it.

Nope. You are trying to offer us Kwame, Lamar, and a 1st round pick for KG? That is not even a fair market trade. The Lakers would have to throw in another player and an extra pick.

Minny would do that deal now if the wolves weren't in playoff contention right now. You will never get fair market value for KG, but you can't beat this deal. You get incredible youth(didn't say talent) and a pick.

Isiah wants KG, and Frye is now tradable with the emergence of Lee and Jeffriesalong with the one year deadline on his tenure as Knicks GM..

I agree. Bynum would complete the deal, if I was the GM.

I'm afraid that you ask too much, way way too much. Kwame and
Lamar alone are enough, the pick was to compete with some other's
offers. Now you want one of the best young centers in the game
(not many young centers in the league at all, so I'm not trying
to exaggerate)!!!

With Kwame and Lamar, you get bigger, you have a near-allstar PF
who fits your offence very well, you have a young center who is
improving, two young guys to build around. These two alone are not
a bad deal, but add one first round pick to make it happen, OK, but
not Bynum as well, that's %#@*ed up.....
