Default Thomas not so bad as GM

Thomas only made one bad move that was giving chicago too much in the Curry deal the francis trade was all brown's fault at the time we signed james he was the best tier 2 big man on the list. what pick do you think Chicago will have and do we have a second round.

thomas has made a ton of bad moves, how was the francis move brown;s fault was isiah in another country for that week and larry made the deal with orlando, isiah is the gm and he made the deal, giving jefferies and james 30 mil was stupid, so was trading for jalen rose, hes made alot of lousy moves.

Actually overpaying for Curry was one of the lesser bad moves Thomas has made, although it was still a terrible blunder, since noone was willing to touch Curry with a 10 foot pole, and we gave up to first round draft picks among other things. Giving 30 million to Jerome James and Jared Jeffries was also complete waste.

As far as Steve Francis goes, Thomas has always been trying to blame that on Larry Brown, but when James Dolan was on Mike and the Mad Dog, he said point blank that he would not have given his okay to the Steve Francis trade unless both the coach and GM had told him it was the move they wanted. In other words Thomas can try to blame it all on Larry Brown but its not like he was there saying oh no don't do this. Larry Brown was mainly responsible for the Steve Francis trade but Thomas was also responsible.

Thomas' role should be as a senior scout for some team. It is the only thing he has proven that he can handle.

Jerome James signing
Jared Jeffries signing
Trading for Francis
Overpaying Curry
Trading Keith Van Horn for Tim Thomas
Spending waaay too much on Larry Brown and then ditching him after 1 year

there's probably other things that aren't in fresh memory

Jared Jeffries and Jerome James were both unnecessary signings. We should of just kept Ariza and I would of gone after Zaza, at a cheaper price and younger btw, instead of getting Jerome James.

The jury is still out on Curry trade, but I would of rather kept the picks. Say last year we got Brandon Roy and then this year say we tanked and didn't get a top 2 pick, we still could of gotten Brandon Wright. Those are 2 great players to build around. And if we could of gotten a top 2 pick, we could of had a combo of Roy/Aldridge or Durant/Oden.

To be fair about the Tim Thomas deal, we did also get Nazr as well. And we basically turned him into David Lee, so good deal.

I still can't believe Isiah got a multi-year deal though.......

Zeke has not made one proven signing yet. His drafting has been good. His deals have all sucked.
