Default U.S. Wars Since 9/11 Will Cost Up to $8 Trillion in Interest Payments Alone

Quote:
This comes as a new report from Brown University’s Costs of War Project estimates that the U.S. wars since the 9/11 attacks in 2001 will cost up to $8 trillion in interest payments alone over the coming decades. Their report says the U.S. has already spent $4.3 trillion on the wars—and that the U.S. will be paying trillions of dollars in interest on the war debt for decades to come.

Americans are so numb when it comes to the expenditure of their taxes

even tho the pointless iraq war will cost $8 trillion, never forget that bernie sanders is a "fairy duster" for suggesting that we should have things like single-payer healthcare or student debt relief.

No biggie

US will tax the shit out of your countries exports, cut throat your manufacturers and resell the stock right back to you. Rinse, Wash, Repeat

Easy fix

What about countries that are not dependent on exporting to the US? Economic isolation, sounds like the perfect plan to head the US into insolvency. No wonder the deep state appointed Trump as the POTUS, he's great at bankrupting things and avoiding liabilities

Well, it certainly couldn't be done to your country for example, since Bulgaria doesn't even sniff .0002% of American annual GDP

More so in further developed countires like China, India and South Korea.

The bloated military is the reason the country is in such great debt... not welfare or social programs for the people. But we have a huge segment of people that vote republican cuz all the sideshows ~ foodstamps, trannies, kneeling etc. They dont look at the real issues.

Whats crazy is there is a small amount of people in our government (and attached to our government) that made massive money personally off these 'wars' and then lumped all the debt onto the common folk. But itll keep happening so long as they hear the word freedom! woooo

Here are some facts...

1. The military is 16% of government spending.
2. Entitlements are 64% of government spending.
3. Interest on the debt is 6.5% of government spending.
4. Everything else is 13.5% of government spending.

heres some more facts...

1. the US national debt is currently 19.8 trillion
2. of that 19.8 trillion, the iraq war alone has already cost ~5 trillion and will cost at least ~8 trillion when its all said and done
3. iraq was a morally reprehensible and indefensible war that never should have been fought in the first place
4. you are a faggot, and not in the homosexual way

Why do people automatically believe the title simply because some idiot provides a link?

Not only does this link not explain the methodology, it doesn't even link it's source.

The total cost of all US wars is 5.6 Trillion according to Brown University. So I guess they are assuming the US hasn't paid a dime towards it's costs and won't pay a dime in the future. I could find no credible source saying the US will be on the hook for 8 billion in interest payments.

http://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/f...18-56-trillion

Provide a credible source or STFU you dirty gypsy.
