Re: Bill Gates: Yes, robots really are about to take your jobs
1) Money becoming obsolete? Not in our lifetime and the elites won't allow it(notice how bitcoin got crushed). Money=Power which allows the elite to control the populace and by enslaving the populace through monetary measures.
2) Technology may take labor jobs but it will also add jobs as well.. People need to create, program, fix, install, etc. A whole new economy may emerge. I also doubt robots take over labor jobs like waiters or registers. They've been saying that for the past 15 years and it still hasn't been implemented. Are we going to have that robot from Rocky 4 serve us food at a restaurant lolz? I think we have a better chance of seeing basic desk jobs getting replaced by technology then a waiter
3) Don't know what you are trying to say about #2. The elite are going to use robots to massacre the 90% of the population because they are now useless???

Re: Bill Gates: Yes, robots really are about to take your jobs
Money is already obsolete if you take the definitely literally.
a current medium of exchange in the form of coins and banknotes; coins and banknotes collectively.
So many places today are way more convenient to pay with via plastic.

Religion? LOL? WTF?
Re: Bill Gates: Yes, robots really are about to take your jobs
Oh please this is another attempt by Bill Gates to increase his profits similar to his plea a few years to bring in more foreign workers so he can lower the cost of American labor. Changing the tax code won't do much to save these jobs because a robot would cost significantly less than hiring an American worker. It's simple finance so save us the tax code argument.
What the government should be doing is spending more to building our infrastructure so our future workplace can adapt to the new marketplace. We can start by these corporations actually paying corporate income tax and stop the corporate welfare to invest in these programs.

Typical corporate welfare leech. Lower taxes, hire more foreign workers to replace US workers, give us more subsidies, poor corporations have it so bad.

Two things happen in this end game.
1) Money is made obsolete due to no more jobs, no value on goods, no more income and therefore the value of money goes to zero. It is no longer useful. Mankind uses robots to create a wealth of resources for everyone. We start mining from other planets in the solar system. We get out there and explore. Everyone is fed, housed, etc for free. Again, money has no value. So there is no good reason not to. (Utopian Dream)
2) The powers that be use Robots to enslave mankind, a mass genocide ensues and there becomes but two classes. The masters and the slaves. History repeats itself. Why this? Because with the value of labor going to zero, humans and their value (in taxes) become redundant. So the oligarchs who control things no longer need us. (Distopian Nightmare)
Impossible, there is a significant portion of the population that hates the idea of food stamps. Literally hate that a small fraction of their income is being taken and given to others so they can eat.
