depressing, had some of the better food shows on Tv. Really educational. Most people are saying dont be afraid to ask for help but I'll say it's more important other people be willing to listen to friends who need someone to talk to.

Wow.. This guy was chill as hell and food was his life/his escape. I used to watch his shows on travel channel years ago. Shows you once again that someone could appear so different on the outside but may be going through hell on the inside. Reminds me of Robin Williams

R.I.P Anthony.. We will miss you, brotha, and your chill persona.

I always enjoyed watching certain legendary chefs such as Bourdain. Their attention to detail, passion, and commitment to their craft was something I always admired. Sad to hear this news.

Didn't he threaten to poison Trump??

His shows were fun to watch, but he most certainly didn't have a clean soul.

Aww did the little snowflake get his feelings hurt because someone insulted his idol? Why do you have to make everything about Trump?

I'm only stating facts. No need to get triggered.

I suffer from depression but surely not as heavy as Williams did.

Still I can relate to that. I'm a goofball around people, but when I'm alone for extended periods it hits. Shit's pretty sneaky aswell. I'm sure Carrey suffers from it, too. He just seems like it. It's a mechanism to cope with it and it helps, but it's useless when you have no one to talk when you get hit by a strong depressive phase.

Not surprised this happened while away from home.

I've mentioned it here in the past but I met Anthony Bourdain years ago. He was in town doing a Q&A at Johnson and Wales. After the gig he went with me and some friends back to a sushi bar owned by a friend of mine and proceeded to drink us under the table. He was gracious and witty, a lover of good food and booze, a master chef and story teller. i feel like I've lost a true friend.

Most likely a Michael Hutchence/Chester whassername/Chris Cornell case of "suicide"
