The EU and pro EU governments want to change the demographics of European countries to prevent national independence movements.

It’s the same thing Stalin used to do in the USSR. He’d move lots of ethnic Russians and other ethnic groups into countries like Georgia as a way to keep them from separating from the USSR. Georgia isn’t very likely to have a big enough Georgian national independence movement if half the people in Georgia aren’t even Georgian.

Brexit just barely won by 52% to 48%. People of foreign origin overwhelmingly voted to stay in the EU. That’s the whole idea. Make the non-native demographics in each country high enough that no country in the EU will have the votes to leave.

Damn, that's nuts. Europe is fukced.

I understand they need workers, but you'd think there'd be no shortage of Christians around the world who would gladly immigrate, and be easier to assimilate. Bringing in Muslims in those kinds of numbers is......yikes.

That's the truth, it's not happening now, happened in the 70s. During the oil crisis most countries in europe followed a fiscal conservative line while Austria did defecit spending and as a result had a "healthy" economy. It actually grew and their was a demand for workers and a deal with turkey was done. That's why compared to most other european countries the islamic people are mostly turkish not arabic.

Why would the EU do this? This directly leads and led to nationalist movements.

'western', industrialized countries are seeing declining birth rates across the board. for the sake of future production, they need to reverse that somehow. even china, with its rapidly growing economy, realized that the one child policy was not conducive to future, long term productivity. that's why they abolished it.

germany was seeing the same problem- low birth rate, worker shortages. then merkel made the controversial decision to take in an ass load of refugees.

result?

German birth rate surges to highest level in over four decades

Germans have gained a reputation of late for the reluctance to have kids. But a dramatic increase in pregnancies among migrant women has helped push the birth rate up to a level not seen in four decades.

In 2016 a total of 792,131 children were born in Germany, the Federal Statistics Office confirmed on Wednesday. That number was a seven percent increase from 2015 when 737,575 newborns were registered.

It also pushed up the birth rate to 1.59 children per woman, a level not seen since 1973. In 2015 the birth rate lay somewhat lower at 1.5 children per woman.

While births among German mothers rose moderately, a dramatic rise in the birth rate was recorded among women who do not hold German citizenship.

At 607,500 births, some three percent more babies were born to German women in 2016 than in the previous year. Meanwhile the number of births in German hospitals to non-German mothers shot up by 25 percent to 184,660.

The birth rate among German women rose from 1.43 children per woman to 1.46. Among foreign women the birth rate rose from 1.95 to 2.28.

With close to 800,000 children born in 2016, the total number of births also reached a number last seen in 1996.

it's a long term practical solution to low birth rates, worker shortages that may exhibit short term problems/growing pains.

but of course there are stable geniuses who will tell you merkel did it because she hates germany, christianity, and she wants to destroy europe.

makes more sense.

If Austria wants to lose the few people in their country who are serious about salvation then they shot themselves in the foot.

I used to feel very sad for the poor and crippled but I feel much worse for Patrick and lethanos. If they don't change they are due for some serious pain.

I'm a firm believer in God and in Jesus Christ. I'll be alright.

What we do not need in the 21st century is false idolatry and warped indoctrination.

Migrants are more likely to be receiving welfare than native.

This is an important step to Austria, but it is but a drop in the ocean that is the problem.

So in a world that's becoming increasingly more automated and digitized that's displacing lower skilled workers, we somehow need a mass increase in lower skilled, low IQ, illiterates to fill that gap? Makes sense.

I don't think we really need to solve the "problem" of declining birth rates as they really aren't necessary. The economy will adjust. In western countries with increased technology, birth rates declined since there wasn't a need to have as many kids. I see that continuing to be the case so the "low birth rate" argument holds little substance.

Merkel doesn't face any of the short term consequences herself so she of course was rightly criticized.

It's common knowledge supported by evidence, you don't need to take my word for it, do your own research.
