Outlaw vs Petway Dunk Contest at Fan Night
For those of you who missed fan night, you missed quite a dunk show from the two (I wish I had video to show and re-watch myself).
Outlaw had some good ones including a really nice off the backboard 1 handed dunk. He through the ball off the upperside of the glass and I swore it was going to be too high. But he raised to the point of getting his head about rim level. His second best dunk was where I believe he bounced the ball, caught it, held it between his knees and did a reverse dunk (much like one Francis did in the 2000 dunk contest). He also attempted a between the legs but barely missed.
Petway blew Outlaw away though. He did 2 between the legs dunks with one of them being the dunk of the night (jumped a long way). He also did a 360 windmill like Vince Carters and Josh Smith's. The only difference was he ended up with his head under the hoop putting a different angle on the slam.
Its a shame Petway will likely be cut because it is a waste of good highlight real. I'm in no way protesting him getting cut because I prefer better players over better highlights, but I hope he finds somewhere in the NBA to play. If not, I hope he is on our training camp roster in the future just for the fun of it.
