Bosh so frustrated Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut the second-year Buck was called for a ridiculous Flagrant 2 foul in the final minute, an unnecessary shove of Bosh 15 feet from the basket that earned Bogut a well-deserved ejection.
"I wasn't surprised; he was playing dirty the whole game," Bosh said. "He shot me an (elbow), he was just doing a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff, but if you're killing somebody, that's what they want to do.
"I tried to be nice," Bosh said of his early interaction with Bogut. "You know me, I'm not just a crazy guy on the court, I just said, 'Take it easy, just play basketball' and that was after he (elbowed) me. That's when he shoved me out of bounds."
Bosh and Bogut were hit with double technical fouls on the play and Ford picked one up, too.
"I'm going to protect my teammate, now," Ford said defiantly. "I think the coach was getting mad. He probably told his team if he goes to the hole take a hard foul, but I'm going to protect my teammates. I'm not going to let anybody do what he did.
"I think we were handing it to him ... we were just outplaying them and they were frustrated."
The hot start – Toronto had a 37-24 lead at the end of one, a 62-46 advantage at halftime – gave the Raptors an indication of the fight in the Bucks. As the season winds down and the Raptors play more games against teams with no playoff hopes, it will be important to get them down quickly because teams have a tendency to wave the white flag quickly at this point in the season.
"That's what Sam's been talking about, that's what we've been talking about as a team the whole month, to come out and see if teams want to play," Bosh said. "And give ourselves a big cushion so we can have a margin of error during the game."
"Semi-bust." I made a thread last year after all the Bosh and Yao <Bogut threads on ISH calling him out. "Semi-bust", as I explained in that thread, means to me that he will never be on the Bosh, Ming level, but on the prime Brad Miller level.
15/9/4 on high FG% is what I see, which isn't what many had predicted before he came to the NBA. That to me, is a roleplayer and a "semi-bust" for a player who was supposed to come to the NBA and be the next great center.
Show me one small bit of evidence of someone saying he was going to be the next great center.
A semi bust is Kwame. A player who's definately serviceable due to his defense and he can rebound and probably score in the double digits, but not exactly a greatly consistent player. A full blown bust is Olowakhandi or Skita.
Fact is it wasn't a super draft, but for a big man Bogut has shown a lot of promise. I think if anything his team is too perimeter oriented and doesn't go to him enough. I think he could be a good 18-20ppg scorer and max out at 11boards in his career, and is a good passer. Not exactly a threat defensively though.

Are you serious? You've been here for a long time, you should remember all the hype. Ask fatboy11 or Adamcz or Spike or Raptor fans, there were 2 HUGE threads in which a majority of people said they'd take Bogut over Bosh and Yao Ming. Trust me, there were dozens of people talking about him as the next great center.
18-20/11 with good passing would be amazing and I really don't see that happening. As it is now he struggles to get 12 points and is wildly inconsistent.

ok.. ----HE'S ONLY A COLLEGE SENIOR RIGHT NOW!! --- So he was NBA rookie of the year as a college Junior... Give him some time geez.... most guys who leave college as SENIORS take a couple years before they really start to shine.

Well he struggles to get 12 because he doesn't get the ball enough. I mean the guy shoots 55%. Young big men trying to develop simply don't seem to do well on teams so stacked with offensive guys on the perimeter, they're just being selfish.
While people saying he'd be better than Yao would be absurd (and I only remember a select few saying such crap) as Yao does have a little bit of a shot at being "great", Bosh has little chance. I think people saying he'd be better than Yao and Bosh had more to do with the lack of expectations with both of them at the time, but they've both exploded since Bogut hit the scene. I mean people probably didn't really expect Yao to be much more than a 17 and 10 center max (Im not one of them). I just don't remember anyone putting Great next to Bogut's name.

Olowakandi did average 12points, 7board or something for a while, shouldn't he be considered a ''semi-bust''?
Nope, he only avged double digit scoring 2x over his career, and is now out of the league.
If Kwame doesn't realize his potential soon enough while he's still young, then he'll be a full blown bust too. Kwame's still young, and it seems like everytime he's about to bust out injuries take him down. He's still got time, but not much.
