Default Re: Josh Smith vs Andre Iguodala

Ill take Josh Smith. Had this argument two years ago with the HH group and wanted Smith then. He just has the ability to play the 3 or the 4, which is huge to me. There are guys like Iggy that play the 2 or the 3 but being able to go from backcourt to frontcourt is something that I find more valuable.

Both are awesome talents but I prefer Smith.

Iguodala. He plays like a point guard almost everygame and can give you 18-20 points with 8+ assists. Not to knock on J-Smoove, but iggy is way more affective..

The only thing I hate about Iggy is his jersey number. I don't know why but I hate it! #9 just looks right on Tony Parker.

It is funny seeing these two mentioned together because they seem to be opposit personalities.

I have seen Philly fans complain time and again about Iggy not being assertive enough, not stepping up, being content just to fit in, etc.

Smith is the opposit. he is very aggressive, looking to make plays, and completely fearless. The problem with him is that his confidence and aggressiveness exceed his abilities so he ends up making a lot of mistakes. But he plays with so much energy and comes up big in crunch time over and over so it is hard to get too upset with him when he commits 4 turnovers in a half or shoots 3-14 on the game.

If these two guys could meet in the middle somewhere they would both be much better players.
