Default Rex Chapman

I think he is one of the best outside shooters in the 1990's, and one of those players that has been rarely been mentioned here in ISH. All i can say he is one heck of a player, when he is playing for the Washington Bullets and Phoenix Suns during his prime, and one of the most athletic Caucasian athlete in the history of the NBA.

He is one of my favorite player growing up as a kid in the 1990's, and he reminds me alot of a more athletic version of JJ Redick.

Chapman was the first ever draft pick 8th overall pick of the expansion team Charlotte Hornets in 1988 NBA Draft.

He participated in the 1990 NBA Slamdunk Contest, and loss to the Human Highlight Reel Dominique Wilkins in the Tournament.

Career Stats:14.6 PPG, 2.50 RPG, 2.70 APG, .89 APG, 0.13 BPG

Best Season: 18.2 PPG, 2.40 RPG, 3.10 APG, .98 APG, 0.19 BPG

Rex Chapman was one of my favorite players of that era. I routinely dropped hundred points games with him on NBA Live 96.

Rex is my favorite player of all time. I loved watching him when he came to the Suns.

I remember watching that happen live, and I nearly crapped my pants. Falling out of bounds, and a heave shot like kids do at a playground, and nothing but net. If my memory serves me, I think they lost that game in OT, but that's one of the best shots I've ever seen.

yup they lost that game, and the degree of difficulty in that show wow, actually was a bad pass by Kidd, oh I miss that Phoenix suns team, of rex, Kidd,KJ, manning, Mcdyess, Gugliota and Hot rod, always played those guys in Live.

Chapman had great hops and good quickness but he was very injury prone. he is one of those guys that you wonder how much they could have done if they had been able to stay healthy.

One thing I remember about him is how he kept trying to fight Michael Jordan during some playoff game or something.

I know, random, but I stumbled upon Rex Chapman high school footage tonight. Thought I'd share. He had 39 points and five dunks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lErbhUvNE1I
