Romo really showed what he was made of. Not only did he stay in the game after cracking two ribs but he gutted out a great comeback on the road versus a very stout defense. I used to trash this guy a lot but he really played brilliantly.
I agree, guy played with an injury that a few players said they went out of the game for and were out for a couple weeks, comes back in the game, and leads them to a comeback, but no one is really giving him credit because of last week.
yeah that was a epic performance.... seeing his team down 10 and struggling, basically staring at a 0-2 start and possibly another lost year, Romo decided to take matters into his own hands. The fox telecast crew said he was ruled out for the game, and possibly future games as well, then next thing you know it he comes in heaving and hoing his way down the field was great throw after great throw, glad I was able to witness that, true greatness Romo.
A Romo appreciation thread from a Philly fan...unheard of...this also takes guts
I think Romo accomplished A TON today in terms of getting over that Jets game and started to get the fans back on his side.
That Jets game was actually the most tragic I have ever seen in terms of Dallas fans turning on Romo...I heard callers on the radio say things like "I have been a Cowboys fan for 40 years and I am now done until Jerry gets a new QB"...etc
had Romo ended this game on an INT...it would have taken it over the edge for most fans...he would have started recieving boos in Cowboys stadium...and that causes all sorts of horrible issues, included Romo's own team mates turning on him.
he did EXACTLY what he needed to do today...I can't even think of a better situation than coming into OT with cracked ribs and throwing the game winning bomb...it is so perfect it seems staged almost.
