Wade Phillips is a soft coach. He has 0 emotion and seems very generic.

Garrett may add some spark to that team and you may find your HC of the future.

Would you prefer Cowher or Gruden or someone else next year?

Bill wouldn't let Jerry be Jerry. I'm sure either in this thread or another someone has mentioned the chin.

Weren't the Titans 0-6 last year, and still almost made the playoffs?

Cowher, Gruden, and Billick are the 3 big names floating around and I am fairly positive Jerry could snag any of them "IF" they want to coach again...

that is a big "IF" too, cause I have heard a lot of people say that Cowher and Gruden and Billick don't want to coach again...

I don't need or want a Singletary "hard ass" but I would take Cowher out of that group...then Billick...then Gruden...

Gruden was fired wasn't he?...he got burnt out and let go I beleive...

some of those big name coaches lose their fire after being gone...

Yup

Keyword is didn't make the playoffs. Cowboys won't make it either unless Wade is gone.

Edit: Gruden can coach talent. He took dungy's bunch all the way. His problem and the reason he was fired was talent issues. They stopped drafting well. Match that along with letting great players go like lynch, sapp, brooks, and others throughout the years and they just stopped producing.

Chucky would probably be the best man for the job but he can't come mid season. His espn contract was locked in for I think atleast 2 years. I remember he wasn't even in rumor talks last year cause of that contract so i'm shocked if dallas does have rumors about him coming in.

I agree with that, but they do have a lot of talent and plenty of games left in the division.

I could definitely see the (b)Eagles falling off, and the Girls moving into the number 2 spot in the division.

Well they are not winning the division so if they can come back and beat out 6 other teams ahead of them for the 2 wildcard spots congrats. It's still early in the season but to me this team just lacks heart.

They have talent but no direction. The same thing can be said about the Charges though.

Sometimes a team just doesn't have it and I don't see the Chargers coming back either.

Edit:based on the conference Chargers do have a chance though

Bill Cowher would be a nice fit for JERRY JONES and the Cowboys. Even though Bill is a big name, he's not the egomanicial, controlling type coach as Parcells/Jimmy Johnson are. He's got the ideal balance where he would gain the respect from the players as well as be able to have some say on personnel decisions. And he's not the "Straw Boss" type who's gonna play with the hand that's dealt without any say so.

I've always felt that Cowher has been holding out for the right job and Dallas was one of them on his personal list.
