Default Jimmy Butler deserves more attention for his stellar play

Not only did he have great regular season, but Buckets has been DOMINANT on both ends of the the floor so far in these playoffs.

In the four games he's played, he's put up 28.3/5.3/3 on 54/39/77 splits. And keep in mind, this has been against a young, frenetic, formidable Bucks defense. At times, when Rose has been off, Buckets has been the sole player keeping the Bulls in these games, such as in game 4, when he was the only player on the Bulls who could get anything going anything offensively (I may be mistaken, but I don't think he missed a single shot in that game after the 2nd quarter).

And his defensive intensity has been remarkable, as well. As a whole, his man-to-man and team defense have been sublime, and he's pretty much been good for at least one "holy shit" defensive highlight a game.

His most remarkable trait might be his endurance, however. He's like Westbrook in that he does not seem to ever get tired. He'll play a 50 minute game where he's going hard on both ends of the floor, and then have enough energy to sprint down the floor in frustration.

Buckets is a stud. So glad the Bulls managed to pluck this guy - a bonafide all-star and potentially more - out of thin air. I just hope I don't jinx him by making this post.

Butler and Kawhi are in a league of their own, Klay is nothing but a birdfed player that wouldn't be shit on his own team.

easily the best player on the Bulls. I can't believe they didn't give him the ball on the final possession of game 4, he was on ****ing fire and would have hit whatever shot he took.

Cool I'll take Klay over Butler anyway. 37 in a quarter tho. 52 points tho.

Butler has been good, but the Cavs will still win.

How come Butler gets little exposure despite his monstrous playoffs thus far?

There's posters on realgm claiming that Leonard is a far superior player to Butler and that Butler is arguably not a top 20 player this year.

D Rose is stealing all the narrative.
