Won't work out as believed for either team (if Miami considers Shawn Marion as a long term part of the team). Pat Riley doesn't know how to coach uptempo basketball and Shaq no longer intimidates opposing players so Phoenix still won't control the interior.

Riley coached the Showtime Lakers. Granted, that mainly meant letting Magic create but he probably learned what a team needs to do to run from that experience.

I'm inclined to think that Phoenix ****ed up, but Shaq's still got size and the ability to finish. I don't think he mixes well with STAT, as neither is a high-post player, but this has a chance to be good. I predict that either Phoenix makes the Finals or Shaq averages 9 points and ends up coming off the bench. Also, this makes a Lakers/Suns series a great rivalry if it happens.

I agree with everything you say except for the "Amare is not a high post player". That is exactly what he is.
