Default One of the reasons...

Was going through Youtube looking at Basketball videos and came across one old one I remember. It was a performance that for me said it all about Bird and for me cemented why I had such respect for him.

Does anyone remember this?

Would also love to hear your own reasons why you respect other players for a certain performance they had.

Much respect for Bird.

Too bad his body broke down early, but I wouldn't respect him as much if he played like the ******* today. Bird's love for the game made him go out 120% every game at the cost of his longevity. A true warrior and one of the greatest players of all time. I still have him as my number 1 SF.

Another one of those definitive performances - Magic starting at C in his rookie year in the finals.

Check out Pat Riley towards the end. LOL

Absolutely. One of the toughest athletes I've ever seen.

Wow! Can't say Magic didn't deserve the FMVP after that performance. I know its one game but the Lakers wouldn't have won without that epic show.
