Looking at some of the stats it looks like the most effective players that should start at the forwards are Lee and Frye. Balkman should be your first guy off the bench then Jefferies and Rose who is needed to settle things down with his veteran presence. Here are some stats to prove my point, look at the amounts for the time playing. Jefferies has the second most time on the court but is next to last in the stats. I left out Q because I feel he is a 2.
Lee is the best player and Frye is suffering from a slow start or his stats would be better. He missed some games also. Jefferies is the least effective but he also missed a lot of games due to injury. The difference is Frye has a sweet jumper and rebounds, Jefferies does what exactly? Defensive specialist, I have seen Lee do a better job on the D against the same players, he shut down Artest and can paly the 2. If he is having a problem with the more athletic SF's switch Q and rotate players and assignments.
Just doubling their numbers doesn't work. It's much more complex than that and beyond my knowledge of mathematics. But you could easily see who is the most efficient and effective with their minutes.
The glaring weakness with this whole group is the assists and blocks. I think that will improve with time together and working with the coaches. Balkman's stats are close to Jefferies yet he plays less than half the minutes...hmmmm.

i still think jeffries should start because of the intangibles he bring. i dont care if lee starts or not as long as he gets the minutes. cause when he gets the minutes he's goin to double double.
I believe Jeffries has the JJ curse. He and jerome james started their Knick careers injured. I'm not that high him right now. I also don't want Lee to start either. Lee plays 30 minutes off the bench already and his production is stellar. He couldn't possibly do more for us. Balkman needs to get some run. Now thats who should start at small forward. Of course Frye at power forward.
Man what do we have to do to get Mardy some run???? Marbs hobbling around and there is a defense first PG sitting on the bench. We didn't try to win this one no way, he should have got some run
David Lee should get more minutes, and Jared Jeffries should be used to fill in some blanks as a bench reserve
Are you nuts? Do you guys actually watch basketball? Lee can't guard Larry Johnson now. He's a smart player who doesn't get distracted by action on the court and then gets in good position to rebound, but he's way too slow to guard a proper 3 and way too small to guard a proper 4. The Knicks desperately need Ared Effries on the court because with Curry already on the court they are slow and can't play defense.
PS - His name is now Ared Effries because he has no J.
PG-Marbs
SG-Q
SF-Jeffries
PF-Lee
C-Curry
Putting Q at small forward handicaps us defensively, Lee and Effries(nice one) complement Curry well, and im comfortable with Craw coming off the bench.

Not Jefferies. He has the JJ curse. I'm serious. His injury involved his wrist which was nowhere from the waist down so why is his game so terrible. His defense so far has been awful. He should be getting more rebounds at least until Lee comes in. Balkman is the sleeper here. When he played in the beginning of the season he was actually pretty good. Played D ran with the break and looks to dunk first. One 3 point attemp per game. He was good. He should start at small forward, due to his quickness, or the fact that his opponent think he looks slow, but he isn't. Lee plays 30 minutes a game and he knows his role. No need to mess with that. Q is our shooting guard. Period. I really and I mean really want Ray Allen bad. For Crawford and Nate that deal could get done. Let me call Zeke and see if Dolan will let him do it.
