A college ball, not a Pro one. I think it's a combo of both, I have the strength to palm a college ball but my hands aren't big enough to palm a Pro one.

Thats very telling. I guess that means it is a matter of strength... but still, you dont need to have strong fingers if you have a hand like Shaq.

i can do it, but only if i press it into my hand... if i catch it and try to do it without the help of my 2nd hand i cant do it

I have small hands but can easily palm start with a smaller ball and build up your strength then get to the normal ball and eventually ull be able to do it.

I couldn't palm the basketballs we used in high school 20 years ago as they were too slick. The newer ones I can easily as they are a little more tacky and seem to have deeper seams.

I have freakishly large hands with long fingers.

I was palming "grippy" balls in 7th grade and palming all men's balls in 8th grade (age 13). It helps a ton when I'm attacking the rim and trying to move the ball in the air.
