why does it matter if they aren't that talented? in my opinion they put out very good music during their early days (ignition, smash, etc.).

they didn't do anything fancy, but songs like burn it up, get it right, gotta get away, smash, self esteem, nitro, cool to hate, amazed, etc. had good lyrics and had really catchy tunes.

    remember this is before americana.

there is a difference between good music to someone's ears and actual good music. Actual good music is actual singing and actual guitar playing uniqueness and variety

Meh i may nto listen to much modern rock because i ahve lsot hope in music. I hate that screaming or depressing emo ****. Blink absolutly ruined their career goign all ****ing soft and sounding like wailing *****'s on their periods. I won't listen to any of their music past take off their pants and jacket. I mean i still listen to modern music but not often, i'm scared i might run into some of that ****ing emo trash and might just have to go vincent vango style on my ears.

Stars is GREAT, forgot to mention them. They are more pop though... pop-rock I guess.

Jason Collett's solo album was great too. Feist... meh, I liked a couple songs on her album but to me it was the weakest of the BSS side stuff.

Sufjan's Illinois was one of the best albums as a whole I've heard in a while but I didn't think much of Michigan.

same bosh, emo sucks balls. out of what i listed. disturbed is the only band i listen to today as far as new stuff. and that's not just for those 5 bands. it includes everything. even rap.

right now i only listen to old stuff like black sabbath, old metallica, nirvana, offspring, weezer, rage against the machine, led zeppelin and the guess who.

Good. Stop it at there and add Wilco and Green Day and that's it.

    I also like The Killers.

Not really. They are more rock than coldplay. Coldplay is still rock but lighter.

Ever listened to wonderwall or champagne supernova?

Lead signer liam gallagher is a decent to good singer. He isnt the best but a lot better than others and noel gallagher is back up guitarist as well as vocals. He provides some rock hard solos and chord progressions that flow very well harmonically with the words. The drummer is ringo starr's son. He isnt like officially in the band but he is. He cant be in pics and stuff because he is still with "the who." Some songs have strings and trumpets and such which give it a good feel.

Buy a CD or two. I suggest morning glory, definetly maybe or be here now.

Billy Talent is definetly good (I forgot them on my list). I used to think they were alright until I bought both of their cd's a month ago. They make the midnight shifts alot better for me.

Favourite BT songs: The Ex, Worker Bees.
