I can't find any music on this.. I go to browse, type in an artist, and then stuff pops up but there are no names on it, just stuff like MP3 pack 1,2,3 etc..

There are only 2,5k music torrents on TL. You should sign up to What.cd, if music is what you're looking for.
Everything else is top notch on TorrentLeech.

There is a way. I for one have two invites. But I don't really trust ISH members anymore. 3 invited= 1 banned, 2 inactive.
