Default Raptors struggle at home

2-3 so far in the season on their home court. Why the struggles?

Should have been a 3-2 lock. But VC went off. Raps will pick up soon

It has nothing to do with home or away.

They are having the same problems at both.

They can't hold onto leads and put teams away. Its got nothing to do with being on their home court or anything like that as they have struggled holding onto leads at home or on the road.

How many times have the Raptors had a double digit lead on a team so far this season, only to blow the game in the latter stages of it? They lost to Boston, New Jersey, Philly and Orlando this way. They almost lost to Miami doing this as well. Those are 4 games that they were in control of and realistically should've came away with the victory, but blew it.

Now I can see blowing one of these games but losing 4 games, almost 5, after you were in control with a double digit lead? That is inexcusable.

Just in general raptors guards don't pure pressure on the other teams guards which means they don't even have to work on defence at all ..... Joe Johnson, Paul Perice, Hedo, Tay Prince, etc all these players had BIG GAMES vs the raptors and for the most part Jose and Parker barely even scored ..... all those players didn't have to play defense which leads to them being 100% focused on offence ..... that is the problem most of the time now.

the fact is you need defense. The raps even with JO aren't that strong on the defensive end (read: weak guards). When their offense is working, they end up scoring in spurts and getting leads. When their offense is down, they need their defense to man up and stop the other players. This has been their problem so far in the season. Offense isn't always there. But defense, can always be there.

If you remember the SUNS in the past 3 season had the same problem. But their PG and their entire team was so strong and good that their offense always kept them in the game. Their offensive force and plays were instrumental and got them out of any hole they got during the game.

The raps aren't that team. They need defense.
