Kathleen Kennedy's stewardship has ruined the whole franchise, with the exception of Rogue One.

LOL what happened to "destroying the past, killing it if you had to"

Last Jedi is a visual eye candy, but a terrible Star Wars film

Star Wars is dead to real star wars fans. The box office take is going to be a real eye opening awakening to disney as it does something like half of what the Last Jedi did. The backlash to that piece of shit will be felt with this release.

The Last Jedi made less than The Force Awakens and this will make less than the Last Jedi. I think it will be such a significant amount that Disney will rethink their, thus far, idiotic strategy with star wars. It looks like that Rian Johnson trilogy is going to be cancelled...thank god. I can't even give a full opinion on the Last Jedi as the one time I watched it I got as far as Leia flying through space, busted up laughing, and just turned it off. After that I just couldn't watch further. Judging by opinions I've read and scenes I've seen on youtube...it only gets worse.

Did you see the Mandalorian series trailer?

The trailer makes it look interesting and dark, a good direction imo. We'll see

It doesn't look bad. It's just hard to tell how "woke" it will be. Jon Favreau is a good director so I'm hoping it will be pretty decent. Let's face it, though, hollywood succumbs to what is trendy in the "woke" world and always ruins everything. That's why I was initially really happy about an Obi Wan series (he's my favorite), but wary they may screw it up with all this woke feminist sjw bullshit. Just leave that out of it for once.

I wouldn't count out because they're Disney just yet.

Theater films are watered down to crunch in all the lore as much as possible for a casual fan like entertainment.

But with a streaming platform series, they may go the Breaking Bad/The Boys route and give all the juicy necessary cream and plot points. If I were to guess, i'd say Disney is going to try and make one of their Disney+ Star Wars exclusives a darker realm (Logan) (Mandalorian?) and one a cookie cutter for teens (Avengers) (Obi Wan?).

I'd be more enthusiastic if these series were on hulu. Disney owns 60% of hulu and they should use Hulu to release more adult related series like they have used Touchstone Pictures for R rated movies.

Just Read some Spoilers. Rey is his granddaughter. And the one that was killed by Darth Vader was just a clone of the emperor.

But how will they explain his disappearance for like 30 years? What the hell was he doing all that time only to come out of the left field randomly? Might have major logic holes...
