yeah...i got offered rasheed wallace, ben gordon, al thornton for my lamar odom, kurt thomas, jarret jack...should i do it...here's some additional info: yahoo 12 h2h league with standard 9 cats...my team consists of nash, hinrich, arenas, jack, kev. martin, redd, g. wallace, odom, a. jefferson, j. o'neal, k. thomas, bosh, and dalembert...and i'm in 6th place
I do this trade..Rasheed and Gordon will give you nice numbers..while thorton is a nice wild card player you can put in and out of your lineup depending how he's playing ..The only player I can see you missing is Odom ..but you'll live, especially with the two semi-studs your getting in return..
Although you are giving up the best player in the deal, you're getting much more solid returns overall. Jack and Kurt are waiver options, as is Thornton, so it kinda makes it Sheed and Ben vs Odom. Relatively speaking, you're getting more threes, points, ft%, blocks and steals, while you're losing assists and fg% (keep in mind its 2for1 so the numbers straight up will favor you). I love the deal, as long as you can handle the bigtime fg% killer, as Sheed and Ben both shoot poorly from the field, but looking at your team tells me the fg% thing is a concern already. Nash is stellar, but guys like Arenas when he comes back, Redd, GWall and Bosh shoot poor fg% from their respective positions, and its not like KMart or AlJeff are saving graces in that cat either. Just something to consider, but I like the deal overall for you.
