Guys a Rhodes scholar and played on national championship caliber teams in college. If that's his opinion, and he doesn't care how it impacts his relationship with the Jets, why shouldn't he say what he thinks?
Was in every meeting, at every practice, etc all season long. He didn't list anybody by name, and basically said the same thing Rex Ryan said about the team.
Might have been an unwise thing for such an expendable player to say but everyone runs their mouth on that team. To be fair this is just par for the course, and he merely said what everyone thinks.

You're commenting on the NFL. Where did you play?
You don't air dirty laundry in the media. There was no point. If you had something to say, say it to the people that need to hear it. Oh, and a leader would use the terms "we", not "they"....because if the locker room culture was corrupt ---> he was apart of that culture and did nothing to prevent it from occurring.
now im hearing bs that he deserves an opportunity to win the job? why, he isn't good at football. If he gets the job the Jets will continue to not be good.

yep. Im glad he said it. all the media backlash is pretty stupid IMO
It was stupid for his career. The Jets aren't going to give him a chance now, i wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut. And he's going to be branded a bad locker room guy. This is not a can't miss prospect. This is a later round 3rd string QB prospect, the kind of guy who may/may not get any chance to play depending on how things work out.
If you want to think "no big deal, the Jets don't care" he got called in and was told during the remainder of the offseason to not give any interviews or talk to the media.
So i'm glad he got his two minutes for saying something that probably is 100% true. Too bad he said it to the media instead of his team. Good thing he's smart because more than likely his future career will not be football.

Isn't funny how he will be labeled the bad locker room guy after all this?

Don't know how many locker rooms at what level you've been a part of. All I can say is from my experience, one person usually isn't in any position to change a teams culture, especially if that guy isn't a veteran team leader. But that sure doesn't mean he isn't qualified to observe and comment.
All it takes to sour a locker room is a few guys going their own way. Billy Martin, the old Yankees manager said it best: "There's 25 guys in the locker room. 10 love me and 10 hate me. My job is keeping the other 5 away from the ones who hate me."
As stated before, what he said is no different than what Rex Ryan said about his own team. If you're hearing people claim McElroy should get the starting job, that's on you for listening to idiots.
