Default Brandon Marshall: Where's he going?

With the Jets nabbing up Holmes, where do you see Marshall going?

Seattle? Washington? Back to Denver?

Default Re: Brandon Marshall: Where's he going?

Honestly I don't see him going anywhere if the Broncs don't budge from that high asking price. They want a 1st rounder for a problematic WR. You add in that Holmes just went for a 5th rounder and Boldin went for a 3rd and a 4th? That 1st rounder just isn't happening.

Quote:
Fox 31 is reporting that there has been much more interest in Marshall than what is currently being reported, which would make sense considering the fact that only the Seattle Seahawks currently have "serious" interest, which many around the Broncos fan base has felt is very unlikely.

Marshall could be soon on the way out, but what will the Broncos receive as compensation?

Recent reports from the Denver Post have indicated that Marshall could be had for Seattle's second round pick (60th overall), which is 54 spots lower than the Broncos are allegedly holding out for if Seattle were to sign him. In all likelihood, the Broncos would accept their own first round pick (14th overall) back from the Seahawks, but Seattle is reportedly not interested in dealing a first round pick.
Quote:
Then, this morning emerged reports that famed agent Drew Rosenhaus thinks that Marshall will be dealt for a "2nd round pick, and a lesser pick".

Expect what Rosenhaus is speculating, with it being a 2nd round pick and a lower pick...a 4th or lower. And that would open up more possibilities for teams to jump into the race. With Welker sidelined and Randy Moss on the verge of leaving in 2011, would anybody be shocked if the Patriots acquired Marshall?

Both New England and NYG would be my guesses to acquire Marshall over a team like Seattle, though NYG may be cautious with their Burress troubles. Miami may also be in play.

Marshall just signed his tender so he can now be traded and teams don't have to give up that first round pick. He should be traded by a week from now.

Tampa Bay. We have two 2nd round picks, both of those in the first half of the 2nd round. If the Bucs GM and owners are smart, they'd do this in a heartbeat. Or maybe we could package our two 2nd rounders for a late first rounder then use that late first rounder for Marshall.

All speculation, but I really want this to happen. And I'm not one of those fans who wants EVERY player available. But I desperately want Marshall in a Bucs uni!

That wouldn't be necessary since you'd essentially be giving up 2 second round picks for Marshall when you only need to give up 1 and a later pick. TB could be a possible destination though I see NE, NYG, and MIA as more likely suitors.

Pats do have I think 3 2nd rounders, a ton of picks overall. So many picks probably half their draft class would have a tough time making the roster. Moving a few of those picks for Marshall does make a lot of sense. Scary sense.

Exactly. A 1st rounder (22nd overall) and 3 second rounders? Scary sense is very true.

First round value + fat contract? Why would teams rush to those demands? Just wait it out until Denver lowers it at a reasonable price then strike. Marshall is a talented player but hardly Larry Fitzgerald where you part with your first round pick without hesitating. And Marshall can thank himself for that.
