Re: Clippers and NBA-owned Hornets have agreed to Chris Paul deal in principle
If Gordon was traded partially due to how much he wanted to resign for, this is Deandre Jordan's fault too. That idiot took an extra $3 million for himself and he still can't shoot a god damn free throw.
Absolutely useless.

I would love for Sterling to void this trade for basketball reasons.

Jordan's going to look ridiculously good next to Paul.

When Bird leaves I want Stern to run the Pacers. That's a HAUL.

I don't really know if that's good for the Clippers. I guess they could have used the minny pick to get a really good player able to play right away and keep Gordon, that would have made a deeper team.
No they just have to hope so veterans want to sign for little money to play with CP3.
At some point, you have to just start building a team rather than continually get young prospects. The Clippers feel with Griffin, they can now actually build a team rather than bank on getting a superstar though draft.

Watch as this team starts to win games and all these people defaming the trade suddenly start to disappear.

Here's a question: what do Clippers do now that they have FOUR point guards, three of which could understandably be a starting point guard for a playoff team (Paul, Billups, Williams), and one that could use quite a bit of time to develop (Bledsoe)? Billups can't be traded. Do they ship away Williams or Bledsoe? Or play one of those guys at the 2?

This would mean Paul won't be traded. Clippers are getting absolutely raped in this deal. Their lineup was amazing without this.
Billups
Gordon
Butler
Griffin
DeAndre
Don't forget, potential to have top 5 pick in outstanding draft. Imagine if the Clips hadn't traded for Mo. They would have Kyrie too! LOL
Situation couldn't be better for the Hornets with this trade (although Bledsoe being left out?). Imagine the possibilities if they ended up with 2 top 5 picks.
Jack
Gordon
Ariza
Anthony Davis
Drummond
I would take out a bunch of loans and buy that team!
Oh btw, on NBA.com now = http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2011/1...s=iref:nbahpt1

Very good NBA starter
Re: Clippers and NBA-owned Hornets have agreed to Chris Paul deal in principle
Wow. The Lakers got screwed here. The Clippers offer is not better than what the Lakers were offering and who the Hornets would gotten from the Rockets.
The thing is though do the Clippers know CP3 is going to re-sign with them or just hope he does after this season? CP3 might end up signing with the Lakers who would then get to keep Bynum and Gasol.

Willing to bet Jordan turns out to be much higher impact player than Gordon. Think Joe Johnson vs. Chandler who doesn't miss 2 of every 3 years to injury

Everyone looks good to Paul, though. Jordan absolutely cannot create for himself, has zero post moves, zero basketball IQ, and is just an athletic defender.
That is what we're paying him $11 million for.

I'm being serious, does the rest of the NBA let Demps give Gordon a huge extension?
