Question Most chucking point guards prolly grew up watching Iverson and Arenas but....

Who were all these 6'6 - 6-9 players watching growing up thinking that its ok to just play on 1 side of the ball?We have a generation of players who only try on offense (examples Joe Johnson,Carmelo,McGrady,Kevin Martin,Beasley, ect ect)

Who did AI and Arenas grow up watching?

World B Free and Sleepy Floyd?

Those other guys grew up watching Adrian Dantley.

I totally agree, you hear the term "2 way player" alot cause the shit is rare. Coaches let so many players score and do nothing else, fans have lowered their standards.

ESPN is the problem, all the kids growing up these days want to see if highlight plays. The mainstream media should be making fun of the guys who don't contribute on both ends due to laziness instead of just hyping their offence.

Nikkas ain't selling shoes playing defense.

Nikkas ain't selling carrs playing team ball.

Nikkas ain't selling subway footlongs taking 5 shots a game.

Nikkas wanna be like A.I., not like Isiah Thomas.

    Nikkas want swag, not smarts.

Nikkas wanna be on the cover of Slam Magazine, not TIME magazine.

This. That is how the league is nowadays. I cut my teeth playing D (mainly coz i suck on offense) but too many players nowadays take too much time off when they're supposed to be playing defence.
